We use the Announcer add-on for JIRA to manage announcements to users, and frequently include times and dates (e.g., maintenance windows). It supports announcements that use plain text, markup, and HTML.
Assuming I opt to write announcements in HTML, is there a way to render a date/time using the logged-in user's time zone preference?
Hi Joshua, You can do a lot to the banner in Jira. It takes html and other java. The caveat is that if you put bad code in the banner, you may take down jira until you remove the code manually from the backend.
See for example to resolve this problem: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Questions/Announcement-Banner/qaq-p/3008
