Locked category field but need to change options

I am trying to edit the field options for the CATEGORY field in Jira Work Management. I used to be able to edit these options, but now it's showing as locked and I cannot seem to unlock it. Is there a way to edit the category options without unlocking it? Or can I unlock it?

No, you will not be able to change any Locked fields in Jira, including the Category field.

Hello @Matthew Finger 

To change the options for the native Category custom field for a JWM project you need to change the data within issues in the JWM project directly. You can edit, add new, and delete existing values through the Category column in the List view or through the Category field in individual issues.
