Log work for another person

Can admin log hours for another person who was added by him?

This is not possible in native jira. A suggestion ticket (JRACLOUD-1676) was raised long back with Atlassian for same feature but it was closed with resolution "Won't fix"

Are you using Tempo Timesheets for time tracking or not?

If you aren't, then you cannot log work for others.

If you are, then you need to be granted the Log Work For Others time tracking permission in the permission scheme associated with the project.

Sorry to say this, but this is not a fair answer - there are time-tracking apps in the Marketplace other than Tempo that have this capability as well.

I recommend searching through Marketplace to find an app that suits your needs and has this capability.

Tempo Timesheets is one, our Clockwork is two, and I'm sure there are others as well.

I didn't say there weren't other time tracking apps that don't have this possibility. I'm only saying that Jira does not have this feature out-of-the-box. I only refer to Tempo as an example of a third-party time tracking app.
