A few days ago we we upgraded our JIRA Version (version 8.5.1 => 8.13.9)
I noticed that the view for admins in the project view (User and roles) has changed.
In JIRA version 8.5.1, the view for admins changed. On the left side there was the view with the the roles and below the assigned users or groups.
In Jira version 8.13.9. there shows only the users or groups are listed on the left side and in a dropdown box in the midle there are the assigned Roles
The view in JIRA Version 8.5.1 was more comfortable then this new view.
Is there an way to change this view, so that this feature displayes again, how it was in JIRA version 8.5.1.?
Please answer as quickly as possible
Thank you
regards
Joseph
Looks like this is back with 8.13.13
We've upgraded from 8.13.6 to 8.13.13 and the "Users and Roles" screen changed back to the old view.
Am I missing something? there was nothing about this on the release notes...
In 8.13.14 is it the ugly view..

A change back to old view, by design decisions, is unlikely to happen.
I dare to doubt in 8.13.13 there was the old view, most likely this was a caching issue in browser.
Indeed, also for version 8.13.14 (and coming ones) the improved (despite some project administrators now do not seem to like it) view is/will be valid.

Hi @Josef Sigl
you are correct with your observation and there is no option to bring back the old "view".
There are some Apps from Marketplace which promise to display the roles in the old fashion but I haven't had a look into them.
There is a Suggestion to bring back the old view - from my very personal opinion this is unlikely to happen.
In case you want to have a look you can find it here:

Hi Daniel,
a downgrade to an older version is not an option for me.
That's bad, but then I'll have to get used with it ;-)
Thanks for your information
