Looking for FREE Test management tool

I am looking for a FREE Test management tool.  This would be a Jira plugin. 

I see a few free options:

You can try QAlity - Test Management for Jira which is free app that was developed by SolDevelo, the company I work for.

The app allows you to create test cases, which are in the form of Jira issue. In such a test case you can add test steps, test data, expected result and test attachements.

Moreover, the application allows you to create a cycle test.

In our documentation you will find a list of features that are available in the free version.

The paid version - QAlity Plus - Test Management for Jira - gives you many more options and if you like the free version you can always try the paid version for free for 30 days during the trial period without losing any data.

Would I be able to export Xray test cases from Jira and import them into QAlity?

The import and export functions are not available in the free version, but you can install the Plus version and import test cases during the 30 days period of free trial. After the trial you can either continue to use the Plus or free version without losing your test cases.

Although I am late to this thread, I thought I’d share another option you might find useful. You could check out Tuskr  It’s not a Jira plugin but a standalone test management tool with a free plan. It’s pretty easy to use and integrates with Jira via webhooks, so you can still keep everything connected.

It depends on your specific needs and environment. The "right" tool for one team or project may not be the best fit for another due to differences in workflows, team size, integrations, and overarching goals.  You'll need to do the homework and see which one fits your needs the best.

However, when judging Marketplace apps, I often first look at the number of installs and compare them to the reviews.

You can try free Jira test management plugins like QAlity Plus Xray Free Zephyr Squad trial or TestFLO Community edition These provide basic test case management and integrate directly with Jira
