MANDATORY FIELDS IN JIRA 7.3.1 VERSION

Hi All,

A question: Is it possible to set up a mandatory field that becomes mandatory only when another field is filled? For example, if I enter my an answer (free text), would it be possible then for a mandatory field to trigger the need for an answer? Is there any way to make that happen?

Hi @Roja Gurram ,

To accomplish this you would need a plugin like ScriptRunner which offers field behaviours. Note that this sort of functionality is not available on Cloud, so it's something to keep in mind in case you have plans to migrate in the future.
