Make Parent Link field visible for sub-tasks

Hello all,

I would like to ask you if there is a way to have a Parent link field for sub-tasks, just like Epic Link.
I created one with this configuration:

and issue key searcher as Search template.
The problem is that when I do that and I try to use this field in jira dashboard gadgets, it doesn't work.
When I choose a different Search template field works with gadgets but it disappears from issues screens...

Any suggestions?
