I just added a field to an Issue screen for one of our projects, and noted that it is appearing on existing issues (expected and desired behavior).
We'd like to make the field Required, but I'm not clear about the impact of that change. If someone goes to that issue page, will they be prompted (or forced) to complete it for an existing issue? What if a closed/completed issue is viewed?
I'm probably overthinking this as it seems like this would be a common activity...
If the field is required in the issue when a current issue is opened updating they will be required to fill out the field. there is no impact for closed issues or when browsing/viewing an issue
