Making a multi-select list value visible only to a certain group

Is it possible to restrict a value in a multi-select list to all users except a group?

It's not possible in JIRA : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-3417

But you can do this with adding the filed in a transition screen only and restrict transition for some user/group/role only.
