Managed user showing no account access.

Tom Cooper June 13, 2019

I have a managed user who when looking at User Management -> Users is showing that they have access to both Jira and Confluence as you can see in the first screenshot below.

However, when I go to the organization's directory and look at the user, it shows no product access.  This seems to cause issues with the user being in limbo.  They can login it seems, but cannot be assigned issues or seen in addons such as Tempo.  In the second screenshot you can see the user in the directory.

Solved this by removing and re-adding Jira Software and Confluence access for these users.

These users had been disabled in the past, and re-enabled.  So there must be a sync issue where the product access wasn't being properly sent when the users were re-enabled in the site's directory.

We just had the same issue at my org.  One of our employees who was a former Jira and BitBucket user left the company, and returned over a year later to work for us again.  I reactivated his Jira and BitBucket access, but only his BitBucket access was being displayed in the Managed Accounts screen.  However, his Jira access was displaying as enabled in the  Admin / Users screen for our Jira site.  He could log in to both products, but was not found in any drop down field, so he couldn't be assigned projects or issues.

I simply deactivated his Jira access and reactivated it again, and it worked!  And the actual Managed Accounts screen is now correctly reflecting his access to both products.

Thanks for the workaround on this!
