Can I set specific fields as mandatory based on the ticket's status?

As a workaround, you can set conditions for transitions from status to status, to check for fields values, and show errors, if they are empty.
"Value Field" condition is available out of the box.
There might be a plugin, but not out of the box. There are several options with plugins to do it DURING a transition, but I don't know of a plugin that does it based the the current status.
