We have just migrated to JIRA Cloud and currently have "dangling" users we'd like to map back to their respective Atlassian account.
For example, I have one user that used to be srosato on JIRA Server, but now this srosato user should be mapped to the Atlassian user steven.rosato@majisti.com (@Steven Rosato). Right now, this user has lost all tasks that were assigned to him because of this.
The user panel does not give me this option. Any way I could get all this sorted out?

I saw that Steven created a ticket with our support related to the same question, so to avoid any possible misunderstandings or miscommunication that may arise from discussing the same matter in two different platforms, let's focus on the ticket instead.
