I have a team managed project that has (anecdotally) recently lost the ability to mark an Epic as done in the backlog. The option simply is not visible. I have checked as an Admin and I am unable to see this either.
I understand that this may be related to the To Do, Doing, Done status' no longer being associated with that issue type for the project but am unable to resolve this.
I know I can fix this one way by creating a Company Managed project and migrating the issues over but I only want to do that if it's a last resort.
Anyone have experience of this or an idea how to resolve?
There is status and Epic Status, and it sounds like you mean Epic Status. You'll have to make sure it's exposed on the view or edit screens (or both). If that's done, check the configuration (bottom right corner of any ticket you should see the layout link) and make sure it's not hidden there.
You can also check the field configuration in case someone hid it in that fashion.
HI Chris,
Yes i did mean Epic Status - my mistake there.
I have checked the field configuration but as this is a team project its somewhat limited and I am not able to see Epic Status as a value to add to the screen layout. If this were a company lead project it would be easy but not so with a team lead one.

OK I see, I think the issue is that Epic Status doesn't apply to Team Managed projects. I can't find any mention of it for Team Managed, and all Team Managed documentation I can find just skips over it entirely.
So, unless I'm also totally missing something - Epics in Team managed products don't have a field called Epic Status, so you can't update that.
