Mark the ticket as done when we create it

Dany Abou Asali November 10, 2020

Hi Everyone

I have problem with my Jira project, when I create ticket in Backlog view or Active Sprint it marked as done straight a way and I would like to know why? yesterday this issue wasn't there, so when I create ticket it's staying in (to do) section not marked as done straight a way so any advise please?

You should be able to tell if something (like JIRA automation) is closing the tickets through the ticket history, or by checking to see if there are rules that may be affecting your tickets.

If you don't see anything wrong in the ticket history, check the project workflow(s) to confirm that nothing has changed in the issue type's workflow.  It should obviously not look like the circle (create event) hooking directly to a DONE state.

Have a look at the main "create" process (Click "create" from the menu and select the project and issue type this is happening with).

Does that screen have the Resolution field on it?

No it doesn't have resolution field,

The issue still persist

Ok, that's just the usual culprit, we'll need to dig more.

What are you defining as "done" here?  Do you mean it is displayed struck-out, appears in the "done" column on the board (farmost right one) immediately, or it has a status of "done" (or closed or something at the end of the process)?  Or a combination of some of those?

Can you have a look at the issue history for an issue that this has happened to?  Does it have any records referring to status or resolution immediately after creation?
