Match Start Date to Change Start Date

Hello

This is hopefully a very simple one.. but let's see. 

I have a Request for Change form. There are two date fields

- Change Start Date

- Start Date 

All I want is for the Start Date to automatically match what I enter into the Change Start Date. 

I have the same requirement for Change Completion Date and Due Date. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you need Change Start Date and Start Date to both be on the Form / Create Screen?

Couldn't you either...

1. Just have Change Start Date, and automate the population of Start Date (and subsequently, Due Date from Change Completion Date)
2. Remove Start Date / Due Date, and just use the two Change Date fields instead?

For (1), a simple rule might look like this:

• Trigger: Field Value Changed
  • Field to Monitor = Change Start Date, Change Completion Date
• Action: Edit Issue
  • Field = Start Date
    • COPY FROM - Change Start Date
  • Field = Due Date
    • COPY FROM - Change Completion Date
