Maximum return results on Search Work Items

Does anyone know know why the maximum return results are different when searching work items -

• 500 max when going from the Project Board > All Work
• 500 max when going from the Project Board > All Work > clicking the ... from the top right and then Go to all work items
• 1000 max when going directly from Filters > Search Work Items

The screen for displaying the results on bullet#2 and 3 above looks exactly the same but #2 returns 500 and #3 returns 1000

And is there a way that I can change the setting to increase with more results?
