@Mentions format issue

Hi I recently read this blog post http://blogs.atlassian.com/2013/06/using-watchers-and-mentions-effectively/ and am looking to encourage my users to utilise these fatures.

However, while testing the @mentions feature I'm seeing odd formatting. The blog post shows users that are mentioned as hyperlinks with nice formatting. When I utilise the @mention feature I see the user name changed to [~username]. This syntax appears in the comment and the Jira notifcation.

Is there a way to use the links as shown in the blog post?

Found the answer... Need to change default comment field renderer
