Hi,

We are currently decommissioning one of our JIRA instance of version 3.0 and migrating to JIRA version 6.3.13.

Currently we have several project and need to migrate all open issues. Is there way to acheive this without using any external paid plugin.

Help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Akash

The standard approach for merging without addons would be to take the 3.0 data, and push it through a full upgrade cycle (3.0 > 3.3 > 3.6 > 3.7 > 3.15 > 4.4 > 5.2 > 6.3).  Then export the xml, manually configure the target projects in the target JIRA and then use "project import" to pull the issues in from

There are other options, but that's the only one I'd do.  (Although, frankly, I'd do some analysis to cut down the data set, see if we can minimise the migration, and if it remains big, balance the cost of a good addon or a consultant's time against doing the whole lot myself manually)
