Hello!
Recently we performed a migration from Jira Server 8.5.4 to Jira Cloud using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.
All projects, issues, users were moved successfully.
But there were problems with boards migration.
Only one board has been moved. This board is linked to one project.
Two other boards were not moved as they are linked to multiple projects.
We understand that our boards were not moved according to this article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/what-gets-migrated-with-the-jira-cloud-migration-assistant-993925216.html
(boards linked to more than one project will not be migrated)
The question is:
Can we still migrate our boards from Server to Cloud?
Thank you!
Hi @PavelKarpenka you can only replicate them. So I would suggest you document your previous reports and just create a new board with the same configuration
Thank you @Hernan Halabi - Elite IT Consulting Group !
We recreated our boards using existing JQL queries/
Thank you,
Pavel

Ouch, this is going to be really painful for people with multiple custom boards, especially given how there is no longer a boards menu in Cloud.

How about linking boards with projects? or making sure the admin user is active? Is there an easier/update way to migrate boards? Do you have any info regarding replicating boards? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ron, as far as I can tell, there aren't many options, either the board is for a single project or you have to recreate it. Maybe you can evaluate making copies of the boards but make change those applicable to one project only. That could potentially allow you to migrate the board and then you just change the filter to the original one.
I haven't tried it to know what's the impact it could have on reports but if it works it might save you a lot of time.

There are dark features that you can use to migrate filters and boards.
