Migrating JIRA to Another Server expired license

Hello,

 

We currently have JIRA 5.2 instalation on server X with Oracle DB. We want to migrate to another server Y and install the same JIRA 5.2. Do we need valid license to execute this process.

 

Can we also change db to Postgresql in one process.

If you're using the same install package as last time it should work. when you buy JIRA you own the rights to use that release. You need a license to upgrade. Changing the database doesn't impact the license at any time.
