Migrating from Jira Server to Jira Cloud

Hi,

We would like to migrate from Jira server 6.0.6 to Jira Cloud.  As we are in old version of Jira server we cannot use the xml. backup of this version in Jira cloud. So we have to upgrade to latest version of Jira sever before migrating to Jira cloud.

My question is Can we directly upgrade from Jira 6.0.6 to the latest version?. If it is possible please suggest the steps for the upgrade.

Regards,

Madhura

Absolutely not.

You need to upgrade to Jira 6.4, then 7.0, then you can go to 7.10

Hi Madhura,

No you can not upgrade directly to the latest JIRA.

I recommend that you upgrade in the following order:

6.0.6  6.0.8 →6.3.15 → 6.4.14 7.0.11 → 7.10.1
