×I'd like to remove an issue type that was created before I arrived at the company. I believe I've found the steps on how to bulk change it to the issue type we want. My worry though is that this move will trigger alerts for every single ticket as they're being updated.
First question is, is that true.. will each ticket get an alert generated? Right now we do have notifications set up for updates to the ticket.
Secondly, would the best fix for this be to go in off-hours and disable alerts..move the tickets to the new issue and then turn alerts back on?
edit: Think I found my own answer. On step 3, there is an option to uncheck for 'Send Mail for this update'. Putting this here in case others find this.
edit again: This appears to be the right process, but Im stuck on this step. Its asking for a password for fields that I dont wish to retain. If I don't enter, it says incorrect password, but even when I do enter my information, the page does not progress.
HI @Martinbill83 ,
As I recall, there should be like a checkbox of some sort to indicate not to notify or e-mail somewhere in the bulk change process.
Just need to uncheck so teams don't get notified.
