Migrating of Add-on/Plugin from Jira server 8.1 to jira colud.

Hi ,

I need a help in knowing add-on compatibility while migrating jira server v8.1 to jira cloud.

We are using add-ons in jira Server v8.1 and on migrating to jira cloud, whether we need to install add-on again ?

Below are the add-ons which are user installed in jira server

Hi Tamilselvan,

I am from Adapatavist and can advise on migrating ScriptRunner for Jira Server to ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, but cannot advise on the other add-ons and as Alexy has mentioned for these add ons you should reach out to the add on vendors directly. 

In order to migrate your scripts from JIRA server to JIRA cloud then you should refer to the Migration guide inside of the ScriptRunner for JIRA cloud documentation located here as this page will help to outline the strategy that should be used to migrate scripts from the server version to the cloud version.

Also, you may find the page located here useful as this describes the differences between the server and cloud version around the Cloud version only having a Rest API and not the Java API that the server version has.

You should use the page above in order to identify what functionality you may loose when migrating to the cloud version as the cloud version does not contain all the functionality that the server version contains as described in the page linked above.

You need to contact vendors of each add-on and ask how to do migration.
