Hi there,
We are having Jira-server1 (DEV) in which we do have few tickets, we wanted to append all those tickets to one of the existing project with different name in Jira-server2 (PROD),
we tried to import/export using csv file but we are loosing data like attachments/ comments etc,. in Jira tickets.
our goal is to move tickets from dev Jira to prod Jira with all the attachments/ comments without any data loss,
What is the best way to do this without losing any data??
Thanks in advance for any help
There is going to be some data loss with regards to the history (what fields were changed and when). It is possible to migrate both attachments and comments using csv.
See details here.
To export comments, you need to use the "Export csv (All fields) to get the comments and attachments. Then you just need to have the attachments accessible to the new Jira instance you are moving to. You'll likely need to customize the csv file to only incluse the custom fields you want, ect.
Thanks @Kian Stack Mumo Systems for your response
As we are having lots of tickets to migrate, it would be very difficult to add all the URL's of attachments manually in csv file

As long as you have them all located in a particular path you can use excel to concatenate the file path with the file name.
