Hello

We would like to migrate our database jira and confluence of a MS SQL2000 server to a MS sql2012 base while our application is jira 3.6.1. and confluence version 2.2
Can you tell us if there are cons-indications for this migration?
But also, we indicate the different steps to follow to migrate smoothly.

Best regards

Mikaël

Hi Mikaël,

I would recommend you to first upgrade your JIRA and Confluence instances to the latest versions of both. If for some reason you are unable to do this I would recommend you to test it first before doing the migration.

There is no information wether or not those old JIRA and Confluence version do support MS sql2012.

So again: upgrade your JIRA and Confluence and then do the migration. If this is not possible: try the migration on a test server first before doing it on your production environment.

Best regards and good luck,

Peter
