How to migrate the issues through CSV in jira with attachements.
can you please give any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Hello @Vijay dumpala
Does the destination Jira instance already have projects on it, or is it a new Jira instance with no data?
Did you use the CSV import available to Jira Administrators through the System Settings screens, or the one available to non-administrator users?
To migrate attachments through the CSV import process the CSV must specify a full URL for the attachment, and that URL must be accessible to the destination Jira instance without requiring any user authentication.
Using the CSV import process is not going to migrate boards or sprints. You will effectively lose all your sprint information in this process as there is no way to retroactively create sprints in the destination system for sprints that were completed in the past.
Can you tell us more about the problem you are trying to solve with this migration of data? If we understand that, then we may be able to offer you better advice.
Hello @Trudy Claspill
Thanks for your inputs.

Yes, we used the CSV import and am the jira administrator.

If the issue keys are different from the source project to the destination project, it will work or not for attachments.
Thanks in advance.

For attachments you are going to have to put the attachment files on a web host or a web-accessible file sharing system that will be accessible to your destination Jira instance without requiring authentication. Consult with your IT team about getting such a system set up, getting the attachments copied to that system, and getting the correct URL for the attachments on that host. You will then have to update your CSV file to use URLs for each attachment on that web host rather than the URL on your source Jira instance.
