Migration from JIRA Server to JIRA Cloud (and Confluence)

Pablo Ronco January 21, 2019

Hi,

I'm planning on moving our actual Confluence and Jira Server versions to Cloud, however, I've been searching on documentation on benefits and cons of doing these but I have found mostly old posts so, I have left the following questions:

  • Is there a way to migrate all my data (attachments, logos, etc) to Cloud?
  • Can I use Office 365 or Ad integration to authenticate users (in SSO for example or like using LDAP)?
  • Which is the maximum data allowance in Cloud? I found a 2015 post saying it was 25 Gb between DB and user data
  • In terms of proportion, how many plugins are available to the Cloud version compared with the Server one?

Thanks, that was very useful, however I still have some questions.

If I purchase atlassian Cloud, will I have access to both confluence and Jira software?

I was using atlassian roadmap to check prices but don't understand which products does cloud cover?

As now we're purchasing separatedly Jira and Confluence licenses.

Pablo,

start with one cloud product (eg Jira / Confluence), you'll have a 7 day free trial. Add the other applications/products and you'll have a month trial for each.

Atlassian Cloud Licensing

Adding New Products or Add-ons to Existing Atlassian Cloud Instance

Product / application pricing will be dependent on usage for each.
