Hi,
We are currently migrating a Jira project from our Jira server to Jira cloud.
The users and groups were migrated as well and we want to make the connection with our on-prem Active directory.
We configured Access with Duo server and setup SSO and everything work well.
Question is, how do we preserve the connection between the migrated groups in the cloud (with permissions etc.) to the working Active Directory.
Currently we still see the option to invite users even though all of them can SSO to Jira cloud.
Thanks!
Noam.
Just trying to make sure I understand. You have migrated to the Cloud so now you have a user directory that was imported and the AD user directory you set up and you are looking to ensure that the AD users are in the same group as their account that was migrated?
Yes, exactly.
I want to make sure if i login with the AD user using the federation, i will have the same permissions that came with the migration.
Currently we're in a test environment and we don't have the federation trust there so we're using invites and we can't test the federation.
Noam.

@Noam Lugasi when you add the federation it will add a new user directory so the groups will not match. If the usernames are the same I have heard of individuals that have submitted a support issue and Atlassian has helped match them up.
