Hello. I have couple questions about products and pricing...
We are your customers and our old admin bought products bamboo, jira and confluence with some plugins. Now I work system administrator in Macpaw and I have task to upgrade products and migrate all to cloud platform.
We have JIRA Core 7.3.0
We need to safly migrate all our information to cloud and upgrade platform. Which steps we can do?
Second problem, our users base in local server and we need join users with Google auth users without destroying current tasks, notes and other. How we can do that?
Hello @Fedor Sorokin
The migration guide is here
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/migrating-from-jira-server-to-jira-cloud-779160826.html
Please note that if you have tasks with let's say Assignee X and when you import the task into cloud and you want the task to have the same Assignee X then the Atlassian id(cloud) of the user should be the same as to what it was in the server instance.
Managing users can be tricky as I have been involved with could of cloud to server migrations. My suggestion to you is to reach out to Atlassian official support here for disucssing possible solutions around keeping the tasks assigned/reported by same users
Thank you for the answer. I know steps to migrate to cloud platform. I don't know what I can do in our situation. We have old release and I don't understand how to upgrade it and safely migrate to cloud.

Hello @Fedor Sorokin
You would then need to read up on the documentation about upgrading your jira instance because you need to be on the latest Jira server version and then migrate to cloud.

I asked this question in support. And they said I need to make backup current Jira and buy Cloud and restore my backup.
Anyway if I need upgrade current version I will pay twice.
