Hi all.
I am fairly new to JIRA.
I have created projects etc. and also my first Dashboard.
I would like to use the JIRA dashboard as my personal work dashboard. That means, I would like to include all JiRA related issues/gadgets as well as intranet pages, internet pages etc.
Is there something like an external Link gadget and how could I manage this ?
Or better: How could i embed JIRA-external content into Dashboard
Hello @Matthias Kästner,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
When it comes to gadgets, currently, there are no native gadgets that allow embedding external pages.
I found two add-ons that, per their descriptions, it's possible to add external URLs on Jira dashboards:
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Angélica
Dear Angelica.
Thanks.
When looking into my other companies JIRA I find a gadget called "Confluence page gadget" which allows exactly the desired.
I am with a second company and a free version. Maybe this is not available in a free version or I need to somehow connect Confluence to JIRA or so
Cheers
Matthias

Thank you for the details, Matthias.
I didn't understand that when you mentioned intranet pages you meant Confluence. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
The Confluence Page Gadget was removed from Jira along with other gadgets related to Confluence.
There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability again:

I searched for add-ons, but I didn't find anything that add this type of gadget.

Hi @Matthias Kästner, welcome to the community!
I'm from Addown Studio. We deliver jFrame • Embed in dashboards and issues, and naturally share your vision for a personal work dashboard inside Jira.
We have several improvements under development that can fit your use case, and one solution is already being tested by a few of our users. It helps you embed pages from many websites into Jira and can definitely help you embed from Confluence.
General availability is not here yet, but it's very close, and I'll post here once it lands. If you'd like to hear more and try it out before that, please contact me at our service desk or by email.
