Missing entry in timeline version filter

Vandango August 9, 2023

Hello to all,

we use versions (aka releases) to get some structure in our issues.

Therefore we created some releases with some related issues.

When we now look at the timeline and try to filter the entrys with the version filter, one release (Release 3 Wien)) is missing in the version-selection (although it is displayed in the headline.).

Does a version/release have to meet certain conditions in order to be used as a filter?

Any clues?

Thx for helping

Andreas

Hi to all.
I found the cause of the strange behavior:
Problem: Only tasks that were not related to an epic were assigned to the release that was missing in the list.
In the timeline, however, it is only possible to filter via epics. So if there is no reference to an epic, the filter will not work and the release will not be displayed in the selection list.
Once an epic or a task related to an epic has been assigned to the release, the release will reappear.
