It appears that the "assignee" drop down list we have all of our developers/technicians prepopulated in is no longer available in the "latest" version.

I am unable to assignee anyone to a new task in an existing project because the field is not viewable on the screen.

You can ask your Jira Admin to use the Field Helper, most likely you will find the reason why this field doesn't appear on a screen.

Hello @Rita Depp

Please verify the issue type screen of the project. Normally this shouldn't happen in the new issue view, but I also had a problem like this and I had to make some changes.

Also, just to make sure, verify the permission scheme of the project if the devs/technicians have acces to work on issue /assign etc.
