Hi all,
Access to our JIRA (and Confluence) server is blocked by a firewall. We've whitelisted a few IP ranges across the globe for various offices that need access (e.g. DEV office in city #1 head office in City #2, Company X in City #3 in Country Y, outsourced UAT to office in Country Z etc).
Quite a few people are requesting access to JIRA and/or Confluence on their mobile phones. It really would be convenient, however our security guys are very hesitant to unblock the firewall to allow unrestricted public Internet access.
What are some of the options/suggestions?
Cheers,
My suggestion is to setup a VPN or openVPN and have users to login through VPN and then access JIRA/ Confluence from their mobiles / PCs. Sounds good?
