Move Jira project

Hi, 

I need to move an entire Jira project from  one instance of Jira to another instance of Jira. It will be going from a Premium edition to standard if that makes any difference.

I am wondering what the best approach for this would be.

Is there a direct export/import option?

Does it need to be broken down to levels of exporting epics first and so on?

No clue where to start if anybody could point me in a good direction.

You can recreate the project in the new instance, export the issues and import using CSV

My advice is to work with a few test issues first to get the import the way you want and save the import config file to complete the task.
