Move epic ion roadmap to backlog

I have 30 items in my roadmap. I now need to move them to backlog, but I cannot see how to do that.

Do you have the Backlog option showing in your navigation pane on the left? If so, when you click on it, what do you see?

your backlog is represented by a status like To Do. What status are the issues in?
