We use a sprint for bug triaging, rather than backlog which is more for stories.
As we clog the sprint with issues, we stack rank them to achieve a top x, for triage to an actual sprint for effort and delivery.
I cannot move a ticket/issue to the Top of Sprint. I can move top or bottom of Backlog, but that's not what I want.
I use Windows 11 Chrome with JIRA Cloud instance.
I have read about keyboard shortcuts (S + T for select and top) and Also ALT + SHIFT on an Atlassian site, but they don't work for me. The Popup menu (right click) doesn't have an item for this 'move'. Seems simple and practical enough for planning and triaging to have this.
Has anyone else had luck? Ideas?
After selecting one or more issues (control click to select multiple) within a sprint in the backlog, the shortcuts s+t and s+b now appear to work (!!!) for moving to top of sprint and bottom of sprint, respectively. Very nice!
How can I vote for having these functionalities back in the right click menue as it is available in the 'non cloud' version of JIRA. To typ s+t takes a lot longer and you can do more typos compared to right mouse click and select the option.

Hi @MarkH , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You can move issues up and down by drag and drop in a created sprint if the Filter Query (Board Settings > General > Filter) is ordered by rank.
Is this not working for you?

Hi @Dave Mathijs thanks for the reply. Yes, I can move an issue up and down. Yes, the sprint is ordered by rank. My point was the ability to move a single issue to the top rank in a sprint. I had 13 to move, manually, and it’s painful. The move to top of backlog and move to bottom of backlog are 2 pop up menus available, but limited to the Backlog. I’d like the same, in-sprint.

You're correct, they aren't available in sprint.

This is a pain point for my team as well. We need a shortcut to rank issue(s) to the top or bottom of the sprint within the backlog.

Agreed. The drag-drop functionality is painful, and buggy, sometimes it drops it in the correct place, sometimes it doesn't. The ability to say "top of sprint" or "bottom of sprint" would be greatly appreciated.

@MarkH please confirm, but I just tried the s+t and s+b shortcuts on selected issues (control click to select multiple), and it now appears to work for moving to top of sprint and bottom of sprint, respectively, within the backlog.
