I just created a Jira task ticket but realised it was in the wrong project.

I moved the jira to the correct project.

Result: the description was deleted.

Is there **any** way to restore it?

I've seen people talking about the issue "history" but this isn't appearing on the ticket

Hi @Lisa Sinclair ,

Welcome to the community!

At the bottom of the issue you have the comment section. Normally you have a "History" and "All" tab there too.

It should contain the historic changes of the issue, so your old Description should still be there.
However, moving an issue should not delete the description, what did you do to make this happen?

Can you confirm the tabs are not there?

Cheers,

My guess would be that description is hidden in the target project.

But there's no way to be sure without looking at the issue history.
