Moving Next-Gen project epic to a Classic project epic

I want to create a Next-Gen kanban project to handle estimates for custom work by customer. Once an epic is completed and approved in next-gen project I want to move it to a classic software project for development.

Can I move epics between next-gen and classic?

There are differences in how Epics work in NG (no epic link). Here is how I would do it...

Create new epic in classic project to receive the issues. Move all issues from NG to the other project and bulk edit to link them to the epic. Tedious? Yes.

I'm not so interested in moving the task issues to the classic project. Just moving the epic itself including the estimate and associated comments. Do you think that may work?

To be honest I’m unsure as I have not done this. However, easy enough to test it out. Create a test epic as desired, move and assess.
