Moving to Cloud next 6 months. renew or not renew apps?

Let me share a possible scenario for several companies.

Due to last news, Atlassian is working hard to move server licenses to the cloud (or DC).

For those who are thinking of a cloud solution, and needs to renew the apps now (current month), should apps be renewed or not?

+ You can reduce your costs (or postpone it)

+ you can avoid double purchase next months (server + cloud)

- You will lose updates and support

From my side, it's a possible way forward, but still have no time to assess all collateral issues.
