Multiple Boards in Next Gen Projects

Can you create multiple Jira Boards in Next Gen Projects?

I notice that all issue types have the status of the columns on the Jira board but my team would like to be able to have Stories have a different status than Bugs for example.  I am wondering if the answer to do this is to have multiple boards

Hi SR, you can’t create boards “in” a NG project. However, you can certainly create a classic board (scrum or Kanban) using a filter that is associated with a NG project. Just go to view all boards and create a board and associate to a saved filter or simply the project.
