Multiple choice type custom field with search option

Hi, 

I'd like to set up a multiple choice field with ~30-40 custom values and enable search in the field. (I do not want to use labels, because than new labels could be created by the people, and I'd like to avoid that)

So far I have found articles only for the server version, but we use the Cloud version.

Hi @Firas Amer,

Are you already using components in your project? New components can only be created by either Jira global admins or the project admin, and it is searchable:

Thanks Manon. Unfortunately we already use this but we may be able to tweak this. I need to check with my colleagues what are their preferences. There is no limit for the amount of components, right?

As far as I know, there isn't any technical limit. Keep in mind that the larger the number of components, the harder it is to maintain.

Currently only choice you have for Cloud version is creating a multi-select custom field.

Search based field or lazy-loading field are not available in cloud version, and you will not find any plugin to fulfill this because to module limitations in Jira Cloud.
