My custom field isn't appearing in the custom fields editor so I have no way of configuring it again

I set up a custom field that provides drop down results. I want to add another result but I can't find it in the custom fields to add.

Sorry, I found the question a little unclear when you said you "can't find it" - not sure what you can't find - the field or the list of options?

When you go to Admin -> Jira settings -> Custom fields, does your custom field appear on that list?  Or if it does, what happens when you go to the "configure" link for it on the right?
