Need Help - Copying the value from issue to subtask. Cloud, plug-ins not an option

Copies the value of one field to another, either within the same issue or from parent to sub-task.

This post function shows as an option, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.

I would like to copy the value of a custom text field from an Issue to the same custom text field on it's subtask. 

I've tried moving that post function to the top position (before Creates the issue originally) but that didn't work.

Plug-ins are not an option.

I was also able to reproduce the same behavior you are facing, so I have reported a new bug with our JIRA Development team:

- "Copy Value From Other Field" not working for Text custom field from Parent to Sub-task

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to receive notifications about any updates or workarounds provided.

For now, the only option we can suggest you would be to use a plugin, like Automation Lite for JIRA which have 300 free executions/month.
