Need field active after JIRA is closed

Hello all

We have a definned company workflow within JIRA at the moment. We have some custom fields. One of these custom fields is called "MERGED TO RELEASE". I would like this field to be editable after the JIRA has been CLOSED by our QA team. Is it possible to have some field still editable after the JIRA has been closed?

Create a transition from closed to closed, add a screen containing this field to that transition and add a condition that only members of the QA Team can execute that transition.
