I have a date field named "End date" .  

{{worklog.started.isAfter(issue.End date)}} is this smart value return True if its using in Advanced branching?

Would you please post an image of your complete rule, as your question is unclear to me?

The smart value expression you showed will return true or false, but that has nothing to do with advanced branching, which is a way to iterate over values in a rule, such as from a list.
