Need help on Jenkins to JIRA integration

Hi All, 

we have Jenkins installed on our server and Jira on Atlassian cloud, how to integrate from Jenkins to JIRA ? we are able to integrate Jira to Jenkins but from Jenkins to JIRA we couldn't make it work as JIRA is hosted on external network 

How to make this work? can someone please provide any insights on how you are doing it at your end
