There are Tasks and subtasks linked to them in a project 'A'.

I need the reports in dashboard where it has tho show the column of 'Subtask ID', "subtask Summary' and one column showing the number of subtasks associated with the parent task.

How can this be done in jira server?

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I think you'd like the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of so-called smart columns that aren’t natively available, including subtasks, the number of subtasks, and many more.

As you can see above, JXL also allows viewing your issues in their parent/child issue hierarchy with just one click, which is another feature that might be useful to you. You can also use your subtask columns across JXL's many other advanced features, such as support for issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.

Since you've tagged your question for Jira Server: As you may have heard, apps sales have ended for Jira Server. Are you planning to migrate to Data Center or Cloud? I'd strongly recommend that.
