We have 9 DEV teams and many products whose stories can theoretically be worked on by any of the 9 teams. I created a shared Kanban board for Team1 that shares 3 projects. When a story on one of the project boards is moved into "to-do", it also shows on the "to-do" column on the team board. I don't want every DEV team to have their board crowded with "to-do" status stories from all 30+ projects, but want to be able to move a story from any project to any DEV team board. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi Jobin,
Thank you for your reply. I am still struggling with this. I have this set up for 1 team and 3 projects. However, we have like 30 projects in development. I don't want the stories at To-do status to appear on all of the 9 team boards, that would be overwhelming! My thought was to create a quick filter for each project that only contains stories at To-do status. But we need to be able to move any story from any project onto one of the 9 team boards. I know there must be a way to do this but I'm not figuring it out! Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Carrie
How about a new status that is mapped to "To do" column on the board? The stories will appear on the board only when they reach the new status.
In short, you can use filters and decide which stories appear on the board. Be it using status or using anything like custom fields or other fields that can be used in a filter.
