Need help in copy the content from subtask to main task

Hi Santosh - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Create an Automation Rule based on a Field Value Changed trigger. Select the field you want to be copied up to the parent. 

Then add a Condition for the Work Type of the source work item.

Then add a Branch and select Branch rule / related work items.

Then in the dropdown select Parent.

Click the + Add to branch button

Select the blue THEN: Add an action

Select Edit a Work Item

Choose the field of the parent you want updated from the child.

Select the 3 dots to the right and choose Copy

Then change the Issue to copy value from to say Trigger work item.

Update it and you are all set.

Would you please add more details to what you are trying to accomplish? 

For example, are you trying to:

• copy-and-paste text from the Description of one item to another, or
• copy some fields with automation, or
• something else?

We have added some communication in the sub task. I need the same communication to the main task
