Need to delete Default Types and workflows

We have a "Company-managed software" Jira and there are 2 ways we enter items [under Types and workflows]: (a) Issue (b) Reporting Capability. However, we don't need the (a) idea now but somehow, we are not able to delete it from workflow!!! Any suggestion?

If i understood correctly, you want to remove the Idea work type from the Project? if so, then to remove it you need to have Jira admin/site-admin rights.

If you have then you can Edie the Work type/issue type scheme and drag n drop to the right box and then save. With this the work type will be removed from the project.

If that is not correct then please share the snpashot so that it wll help us to understand what you want to do?

Yes, you understood correctly! From project only I have to delete however, when I click on the Types & Workflow option under Project Setting- I am not able to make any changes to this "Idea" howsoever the other created item i.e. Reporting Capability is editable!

@SShrivastava  In that case you do not have required permission. Are you jira/site admin Or just a project admin?

To ensure we are correctly assessing your scenario can you provide screen images showing how you are able to edit Reporting Capability but not able to edit Idea?
